It's once again dinner time, and the shaman's having fun with food again. We had some Tahong (Mussels), Talaba (Oysters) and Fish (Tilapia).
It's a good thing having fast metabolic rate, eating will not get you fat. For this evening we decided to grab some grilled seafoods, since the red tide warning has been lifted and he haven't tasted tahong and oyster for quite some time.
The shaman fired up some uling (Coal), and placed tahong and oyster over it. It cooks fast, and its quite half-cook compared to conventional cooking methods. Vinegar sauce/dip will make it more tasty and complete the cooking process. Like kinilaw recipes, It applies the same method. For our vinegar sauce, I diced some onions, sili (pepper), pepino (Cucumber), a bit of salt, and sugar.
Vinegar and Cucumber Sauce
My baby girls stomach is not yet prepared for this meal yet, so I had some Grilled Fish for them. Sorry for the poor photos, I am too excited with eating, just took it with my camera phone.
