How to Secure your NetGear Wireless Router with WPA/WPA2

In this article I will teach you how to secure your wireless network if you are using Netgear Wireless Router. This applies to other routers, they only differ in some menu orientation but follows the same concept. This is in response to Raszonjenny who asked in the comments.
Configuring the router to require a passkey or passphrase to connect, to prevent unwanted workstations to use your network or internet connection.
I highly recomment using WPA/WPA2 for encryption, WEP is so easy to crack. With the right tools and know how, you can easily crack it in less than 20 minutes.
So here goes with the walkthrough after the break.

How to troubleshoot Garmin GPS Navigator on No-Name China GPS
Posted by

Splash Screen booting up
I am refering to this no-name China GPS you can buy online from your favorite China goods seller. This particular device used for this guide is a 5 incher running a custom firmware and win ce 5. It comes preloaded with Garmin Mobile XT version 5.010W.
When I fired up Garmin it loads a script Garmin.mscr which preloads Port Splitter 1.20 before it loads the Garmin software. It takes forever when detecting satellites to lock into within Garmin. I have tried every ports listed and no luck.

The 250 GB Hard Drive (OEM)
There's no need to remove the keyboard panel, just the backside only.
First is to remove the battery out of the way, then track down the screw holes.
Use your thumb to lightly lift the plastic on either side of the battery bay.

How to configure a router to your Globe Wimax BM622 CPE Modem

Here is an example of a typical router ports
How to Configure a router to use with your Globe Wimax BM622 CPE Modem by Huwaei Technologies?
There are two types of router, namely the wired and wireless. What I have here is an example of a wireless router.
Wired and Wireless router are the same in terms of usability except for the fact you don't need wires for wireless, and convenient to use with wireless devices and gadgets.
Firstly, connect the router to your PC lan ports, Plug the cables to the number 1 port, not on the distinguished WAN port. Fire up a browser and type in to URL address bar, where you type website addresses to browse pages, type in http://192.168.1.1, this is always a default.

Yuki with my Openline Globe Tattoo
Here's how, first in order for your system to read your modem as a modem and not as a storage media, you need usb-modswitch installed.
You can do that by typing at the terminal.
"sudo apt-get install usb-modswitch"

How to unlock Echolife Bm622 Wimax Modem's Admin Settings
Posted by
Unknown
The shaman wants to share a procedure to unlock your Echolife BM622 CPE Wimax modem's Admin Settings. This is for Globe Wimax Modems so you can see additional settings, be advised not to play with your configuration if you don't know what you are doing. It may make things worst, for those of you that doesn't receive your subscribed speed, i.e people who subscribed for the 1 mbps plan and receiving half or around 500kbps, your are bandwidth capped from Globe's datanet server. The modem has nothing to do with it. You will need to call customer service to update your account.
To unlock your Modem, open up a web-browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Oracle, Safari, Iceweasel, etc) and go to url "http://192.168.1.1" and login with this credentials, username: user and password: user.

Step 1. Google is your friend. Always, if you don't know something and wanted to know and doesn't know who to ask. Google it up, you might end up to find that there are others like you looking for the same answers. You will be surprised to dig up something somewhere, and might also have a scenario that your question have been answered to the nth time since last year. You will be lucky then, and follow the instructions you will find. I googled it up and found some message boards discussing about unlocking your usb dongle.

Type in "regedit" in the terminal console.
Then,
1. Find this key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine"
2. Highlight and select "wine" right click it, then select [NEW] then [KEY]
3. Rename the new [KEY] to "OpenGL" (this is case sensitive )
4. Select the new OpenGL [KEY] on the right pane, then right-click then create new string and name it "DisabledExtensions" (once again case sensitive) then modify the value name it, "GL_ARB_vertex_buffer_object"
Should look like this.
