How to troubleshoot Garmin GPS Navigator on No-Name China GPS
Posted by
Unknown
Splash Screen booting up |
I am refering to this no-name China GPS you can buy online from your favorite China goods seller. This particular device used for this guide is a 5 incher running a custom firmware and win ce 5. It comes preloaded with Garmin Mobile XT version 5.010W.
When I fired up Garmin it loads a script Garmin.mscr which preloads Port Splitter 1.20 before it loads the Garmin software. It takes forever when detecting satellites to lock into within Garmin. I have tried every ports listed and no luck.

Why Globe Customer Service Sucks?
Posted by

First BM622i |
From our experience. Subscribers call on the hotline at 211 to report technical and customer service issues. Customer Service Representatives then files a report where a Job Number will be generated and passed on to Sub-Contractor On-Site Technicians that visits your service address to fix whatever there is to fix.

Lately it's been hard for me to part her away from my PSP. We argue over her playtime.
So I decided to turn her enthusiasm into a more productive experience, When she was 1 year old, I spent time teaching her ABC's with www.starfall.com a site dedicated to learning how to read, learning ABC's and numbers.

The Sands of Kwebang Lampas |
Majority of the participants with this Ride to Kwebang Lampas, Pagbilao, Quezon was last accounted to 10 riders. Due to the rain and zero visibility, four remained and took off from Manila 0600, armed with rain gears, and trailed old highway alongside SLEX to head to Calamba City to join up with The Shaman (saisake mcp). 0730 the fantastic four arrives and becomes the furious five and continued on the journey. A Troll is born
Posted by

Alaric Gavin, or "buns" (a new brother to "ham" and "chiz", I know I have funny nicknames for my babies).
gave me a blank stare when I first saw him at the nursery, a few hours later. He's beside my wifey's bed, crying when he wakes up, use up his diapers with baby poo. That's right, I changed his diapers, his first one actually. The same way on my two girls.
Watching him sleep makes me think of the future ahead, what would he be like as a troll, err a kid. Where will he be interested on doing and all kinds of stuff that runs around my head. For now, I will enjoy his childhood, the same way I enjoy my baby girls childhood.
Random stills from the hospital after this break.

Troll's Sunday Ride with The Like Riders Pilipinas
Posted by

Responsible Riding, Traveling, and Comraderie are the three basic things you will have if you travel in packs. Inclusive with a bayanihan meal of seafoods served in a long table on banana leaves.
A group of riders left Calamba at 6:30 am, and a few more joined us from Los banos, and Sta Cruz until we reached Famy/Siniloan Area where we meet up with the Manila Pack who traversed Rizal and Marilaque Area. Together we joined force to travel Real-Siniloan Road.

The Troll salvaged whats left on a defective 250GB Hard Drive
Posted by

Using CDRKING's IDE to USB Bridge and a cool gadget to bridge SATA and IDE.
It took awhile to read files due to data corruption, but was still be able to extract the files from the disk. After a few hours of it, was able to delete every partition; swap, /, /home and created a single ntfs partition.
The bad news is it's having hard time reading data. Saving files on it is very risky so I might use it as a nice paper weight. More Photos after the break.

Happy Mother's Day |
My wife and I hanged out at SM Calamba City and watched Fast Five. Action-packed and oozing with pure awesomeness. For those of you who haven't seen it, watch it you will surely enjoy every minute of it. [Spoiler Alert] After the Movie flashes the cast and credits, stay in your seat, there will be a short Movie that will leave you hanging.
Ninei had her hair done at the salon for a little trimming. Then we head out to be surprised that there is now a Mernels cakes at the ground floor. Now if you are not from around Calamba City and Los Banos Area, but have visited our hot-spring resorts in Pansol and aware of our Buko Pies. You need to try out Mernel's Cakes & Pastries.

The 250 GB Hard Drive (OEM) |
There's no need to remove the keyboard panel, just the backside only.
First is to remove the battery out of the way, then track down the screw holes.
Use your thumb to lightly lift the plastic on either side of the battery bay.

Don Henrico's Festival Mall, Alabang Experience
Posted by
Unknown
Earlier this evening, I visited Festival Mall in Filinvest Alabang. Meet up with wifey and have dinner. This is not a review but my experience with an ordinary fellow whom I would say enthusiastic and dedicated.
Kudos to the security guard named "Makki," He's the guy wearing long sleeved polo barong looking like PSG (Presidential Security Group) the counterpart for Secret Service for the US. He's the guy incharge of the door welcoming customers, opening door and such.
I prefered eating outside so I can smoke, this guy welcomed me and offered a table inside. I insisted to eat outside otherwise. He gaved me the menu, my wife ordered pizza and a double roast rib. Then beer for me and bottomless iced tea for wifey.
